Our family might be moving to Russellville,AR (from Idaho) and I'm freaking out! I see you're in Little Rock, have you been to Russellville? I have no idea what to expect. At any rate I'm excited to see there are like minded foodies all over! Thanks for the great recipes.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13276687008121928978noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-756150715898028038.post-71397983802243958262012-10-05T21:57:29.934-05:002012-10-05T21:57:29.934-05:00Those are all great tricks, and I've had some ...Those are all great tricks, and I've had some of the same observations as you have. I find it's best to only have nutritious food in the house so there are no other options. In our house, everyone loves bread a little too much, if you now what i mean. Sometimes I serve sourdough bread with dinner, but I don't put it out on the table until everyone has finished at least one serving of everything else I made or they'll just want to eat bread. I also only serve half of a small loaf of bread (and freeze the other half) so they CAN'T gorge on bread (my husband included).

I've read a lot about not holding dessert over kid's heads, but I disagree. If we offer dessert (and it's usually ice cream at our house, too), they don't get it unless they eat their dinner. T me that's common sense.
