BoBrook Berry Farms

Guest post by Kerry Winkler
A wonderful childhood memory I have is picking blueberries with my mother and using them to make various delicious recipes and freezing a lot of them to enjoy in the winter.  Well, last year when we moved to Little Rock I was so excited to be taken to BoBrook Farms in Roland to pick blueberries and blackberries with a friend.  It was so much fun to go picking with my children and make some wonderful memories for them.

BoBrook Farms is now open for picking this year.  I have already gone twice and would like to get back out there at least one more time.  You can check them out at their website but to find out up to date info about the picking conditions become friends with BoBrook Farms on facebook.  They are not certified as organic but you would be supporting a local farmer.

Right now they are open Tues., Thurs., and Sat. mornings from 7-12 and are charging $4 a quart for pick your own blueberries or blackberries.  They also sell pumpkins in the fall.

  1. Suzanne's Fruit Farm in Hampton has blueberries and peaches right now. The blueberries are $10 a gallon or $1.67 a lb. They will have blackberries and plums soon. So for those a little further south this is a very good place to go.
