Local Food Presentation at Terry Library

I walked into Terry Library a couple of days ago and immediately noticed a large sign promoting a presentation on local food by my friend Sylvia Blain, executive director of Arkansas Local Foods Initiative.

I was "stoked" (as Julie would say). The movement is alive and growing!

I'm going to try very hard to make it Sylvia's presentation. Hope you can too. Here are the details:

  2. Tracy, I apologize for the delay in getting back to you. Tonight I plan to give a demonstration on how to use some online services to find local foods as well as a list of local markets, buying clubs and other sources of locally grown foods. I will discuss seasonal eating, procuring for institutions as well as some of the gaps in our local food system and how to solve them. I hope that helps and if there is anything I can do to help, please let me know.
